Tashmadada is a contemporary performance company committed to bringing together arts practitioners as well as providing a forum for discussion about the arts.

By creating new works as well as working with existing texts in an original and innovative manner, Tashmadada encourages the collaboration between artists from different artforms - eg theatre practitioners, visual artists, writers, composers etc.

Tashmadada aims to be a centre for discussion and engagement in arts practice - using theatre and the arts to articulate the multiplicity of voices and cultural traditions.

Tashmadada nurtures and develops collaborations - both on a national and international level.

Tashmadada hopes that artists and audiences alike will get the opportunity to ponder the inexplicable, to marvel at beauty, to laugh at the human condition and above all, to enjoy the gathering.

International Masterclass Program

Tashmadada has forged a reputation for bringing international artists to Australia to lead masterclasses for established arts practitioners.

The aim of the masterclasses is to engage local practitioners with the unique processes and specialties of the invited artist/s. The masterclasses usually run for 2 weeks (length of workshop varies according to the needs of the artists) and finish in a form of public presentation.

Tashmadada is planning an exciting program of International Masterclasses and collaborations for 2011/2012

so keep checking for details.
